London2LandsEnd-2700

London to Lands End 2021

Our London to Land's End race for 2020 has proved to be popular, and already rowers are asking 'will there be a race in 2021?' The answer is YES we are already planning for 2021 as well.

Complex tides and very changeable British weather mean good navigation skills are required for this 500 mile race, as well as the tactical ability to make the most of weather and sea conditions, which can be as important as a team’s strength, stamina and endurance. The race is organised by rowers who have been there themselves, meaning GB Row’s priority is to ensure teams have an enjoyable and safe race along the spectacular British coastline.

SAFETY:

Safety is paramount to GB Row and all teams entering the race will be required to attend relevant sea safety courses and complete a number of training trials at sea. Although the race is tough and unassisted, this doesn’t mean there is no help at hand. The organising team, themselves ocean rowers, maintain contact with teams throughout the race via Y.B. tracker, sat phone and mobile phone when in range.

PERFECT FOR:

The London 2 Land’s End race is the ultimate training opportunity for those taking part in any trans-atlantic races.

It’s also perfect for those looking to get into ocean rowing for the first time.

Do you think you have what it takes to take on the ultimate rowing challenge?
