What is the Anglo American Boat Race?

How much would you pay NOT to row for 2010 miles, non-stop stop for 5 weeks, around the clock, through wind, rain, storms.... and possibly a little bit of sun? How much?....

The Anglo American Challenge is a non-stop row circumnavigation of Great Britain (GB) that will see teams race for the ultimate accolade, First Place and possibly a new World Record

The total distance is around 2010 miles, although in reality it will be greater, completed in June 2010 dependent upon the weather conditions.

The aims of the expedition are as follows:

Raise money and profile for some very worthwhile charities - the 2005 event raised £277,530 for charity.

Set a New World Record, for circumnavigating Great Britain in a rowing boat.

Adventurous training and to complete a personal challenge in extremely adverse conditions.  To achieve the aim by successfully managing and overcoming real and perceived dangers, whilst learning new individual and team skills.
